Happy 10th Anniversary Advance Wars!

So people, it's been officially a decade now since the North American release of the first Advance Wars. And we'll be celebrating it today. Check out the forums, as we'll be presenting people's views on this milestone. Also, I've promised you a message from Gipface:
I'll be streaming Advance Wars all day tomorrow at 10AM EDT. Much of it
will be Days of Ruin, but I'm hoping to get a live game of Dual Strike
around 12PM EDT with someone I know locally. I'll put up the link when
it starts. Hope to see you there!

Advance Wars 10th Anniversary

Gipface (and the rest of the WWN staff) would like your attention for the following:
This upcoming 9/11 may be a time of reflection and commemoration, but it's also the 10th anniversary of Advance Wars. (Some sources say it was released on 9/10, but here in Canada it definitely came out on 9/11) Advance Wars 1 was the game that finally pushed the Nintendo Wars games into the western market. Not only was it the first English Wars title, but it was bounds and leaps more polished than any other game in the series. Then it began a whole new franchise on its own.
Warsworldnews will be the center hub of the AW celebration. We're planning on writing a number of articles on what Advance Wars has meant to us over the years. We'd love it if people in the community could contribute. It doesn't matter if you were a past influential person in the community, or simply a lurker who only played singleplayer. From Cosmo Land canon to AW4 canon, we'd love to hear your take!
