Overview: Send a loaded Black Boat at Kanbei's HQ, almost running it out of fuel. On the way, drop off an Infantry to secure the neutral base on the east of the big island. Use this base to build units for Power.

Send another two Black Boats to the port in the north to trick the AI into allowing you a clean HQ capture.

The key point is not to let Kanbei build any units near his HQ when you drop off the Infantry on Day 7. In order to do this, you must attack a Mech on a base so that it drains Kanbei's funds by repairs, and you must have a loaded Black Boat in the north which can reach Kanbei's port there. The AI will build a Battleship to stop you from taking the port and threaten your Black Boats, using up almost all its funds in the process. Note that the Mech attack is very important: If you do not do so, Kanbei will have enough funds to build an Infantry, ruining your capture unless you're Sami.

The calculation is as follows:
Day 6: Kanbei gets 19000G, builds a Mech, left with 15400G. You attack the Mech on your Day 7.
Day 7: Kanbei gets 20000G (he captured a city last turn), uses up 720G to repair the Mech, left with 34680G. He builds a Battleship, left with 1080G. (Note that Kanbei's Infantry cost 1200G, so he cannot build anything now.)
On the other hand, if you did not attack the Mech, Kanbei would have 1800G, enough for an Infantry at the HQ base.

This strategy is dependent on favourable movement by the AI and may not work in one go. Sometimes Kanbei leaves an Infantry or Recon near his HQ. (He should either load them onto Landers or move them far enough that they cannot attack your Infantry.) Also, on Day 6, he might block your Md. Tank from attacking his Mech with a Tank. If so, restart the map.

For full Power, you need to destroy 2 units in 1 day. This can be done on Day 8 or 9. Target weak units like Infantry or APCs. Weaken them on Day 7 and destroy them on Day 8.

For full Technique, you can lose up to 2 units, although I never lose more than 1 (the Md. Tank which attacks the Mech on Day 7). If you lose 2, you'll have to start building Infantry on Day 8.

Day 1:

- Build Infantries at the west bases of your HQ island.
- Build a Black Boat at the westmost port of your HQ island.

Day 2:

- Load both Infantries onto the Black Boat. Move it 5S 2W. Drop only one Infantry W.
- Build Infantries at the west bases of your HQ island.
- Build a Black Boat at the westmost port of your HQ island.

Day 3:

- Start capturing the base with your Infantry.
- Move the southern Black Boat 7S.
- Load both Infantries onto the other Black Boat. Move it 1N 6W. Drop the Infantries W and S.
- Build an Infantry at the westmost base of your HQ island.
- Build a Black Boat at the westmost port of your HQ island.

Day 4:

- Finish capturing the base.
- Start capturing the port and the other base.
- Move the southern Black Boat 3S 4W.
- Move the western Black Boat 5N 2W.
- Load the Infantry onto the remaining Black Boat. Move it 1N 6W.

Day 5:

- Finish capturing the port and the base.
- Move the southern Black Boat 7W.
In the north:
- Move the western Black Boat 1W.
- Move the other Black Boat 5N 2W.
In the east:
- Move the Infantry on the base 3N.
- Build a Md. Tank on the base.

Day 6:

- Move the southern Black Boat 7W.
In the north:
- Move the eastern Black Boat 2W. Repair the other Black Boat if you want.
- Start capturing the city with the Infantry on the port.
- Move the Infantry on the base 3S.
In the east:
- Start capturing the city with the Infantry.
- Move the Md. Tank 4S. Attack any unit next to it.
- Build a Md. Tank on the base (Kanbei: Build a Tank.)

Day 7:

- Move the southern Black Boat 4W 2N. Drop the Infantry W.
In the north:
- Move the loaded Black Boat onto the reef.
- Move the other Black Boat 1E of it.
- Finish capturing the city.
In the east:
- Move the Md. Tank 3S 2W or 2S 3W. Attack the Mech on the base.
- Continue capturing the city. If the Infantry was hit by a Tank, join the other Infantry to it.
- Use the other Md. Tank (Kanbei: Tank) to weaken an enemy unit (while keeping out of range of enemy Tanks/Rockets).
- Build a Neotank/Md. Tank on the base.

Kanbei Day 7:

- If he did not build any unit on his HQ bases, and none of his units can reach your capturing Infantry, congratulations! You've won at this point, now you just need to get Power and maintain Technique.

Day 8:

- Destroy 2 units if possible.
- Move the Black Boats out of the Battleship's range.
- If the city-capturing Infantry is threatened by a Tank: Abandon the capture and join any other Infantries to it.
- Start building Infantry on the bases near your HQ island if you think you might lose 2 units.
- Remaining troop movement is up to you, but don't move the Black Boat near the HQ as it is low on fuel.

Day 9:

- If you lost 2 units, build until you have 19 units built. Check your Intel screen.
- If you haven't done so, destroy 2 units.
- Finish capturing the HQ.
