Skills are additional unlockable abilities that can be equipped on your COs to improve their unit strengths and combat ratings. A CO can equip up to four skills. Any equipped skill will add to the CO’s natural abilities, allowing you to stack effects. Combining Olaf with the Icebreaker skill for example will give Olaf an incredible +40% firepower when it is snowing.

How To Earn

Each CO can use forces depending on their rank. A CO requires 1000 points of experience to grow one level. Each level grants that CO all the skills of that level. Additionally, ranks 1, 2, 3 and 4 grant the CO a skill slot. So a level 2 CO can equip two skills, while a level 4 can equip four. A level 0 CO cannot equip any skills. The Star rank skills are earned by finishing campaign, for Eagle Eye, Gearhead and Conqueror, and are then available to any CO that has attained rank 1 or higher. Soul of Hachi and Mistwalker are earned by completing hard campaign and follow the same conditions.

Points are earned by winning a map in Survival, Campaign or War Room with that CO. You get as many EXP as shop points, but different war room modes will give you experience multipliers for more EXP. Also, destroying certain map features will give you bonus points:

Pipe Seams – 5 Points
Minicannons – 5 Points
Black Stones – 10 Points
Black Cannons – 20 Points
Black Crystals – 20 Points
Ooziums – 40 Points

Also, when a CO reaches rank 10, they gain access to an alternative costume.

Bruiser User gains +5% attack for all direct units. APC Guard User’s transports gain +10% defence.
Sharpshooter User gains +5% attack for all indirect units. Tower Power User gains an extra +5% offence for each tower owned.
Slam Guard User gains +8% defence against direct attacks. Sneaky User’s hidden units (Stealths and Subs) use 1 less fuel per turn.
Snipe Guard User gains +8% defence against indirect attacks.
Combat Pay User gains 2% of the damage he inflicts in funds.
Luck +10% to maximum luck.

Teamwork User’s Dual Strike partner gains +5% offence. Road Rage User’s units gain +10% offence on a road tile.
Scout User’s units have +1 vision Ranger User’s units gain +10% offence on a forest tile.
Mechanic User can repair 1 extra HP per day when on properties. Urban Fighter User’s units gain +10% offence on a city tile.
Invader User’s soldiers gain +1 capture. Mountaineer User’s units gain +10% offence on a mountain tile.
Sale Price Unit’s cost decreases by 5%. Seamanship User’s units gain +10% offence on a sea tile.
Backstab User’s units gain +15% offence when dived or stealthed.

APC Boost User’s transports gain +1 movement. Bodyguard User’s Dual Strike partner gains +10% defence.
Missile Guard User’s units take 1 less damage from missiles. Includes Rachel’s Covering Fire Super CO Power. Prairie Dog All movement costs across plains are reduced to 1.
Cannon Guard User’s units take 2 less damage from Black Hole cannon fire. Pathfinder All movement costs across forests are reduced to 1.
Star Power User fills up the CO power meter 10% faster. Stealthy Hidden and dived units use 2 less fuel per day.
Gold Rush User gains an extra 100G per contributing property owned.

High And Dry User gains +20% offence in the rain. Brawler User gains +8% offence on all direct units
Icebreaker User gains +20% offence in the snow. Sniper User gains +8% offence on all indirect units.
Sand Scorpion User gains +20% offence in sandstorms. Slam Shield User gains +12% defence from all direct attacks
Snipe Shield User gains +12% defence from all indirect attacks.

Synergy User’s Dual Strike partner gains +8% offence. Eagle Eye User’s units gain +2 Vision.
Fire Sale User’s unit price is reduced by 8%. Gear Head User’s units repair an additional 2 HP when on a property.
Conqueror User’s soldiers gain +2 capture.
Mistwalker During a Super CO Power, all units gain first strike counter attacks.
Soul of Hachi During a Super CO Power, ground units may be built from any owned city.
