WR2-06: Land’s End

Land’s End Guide
Recommended CO: Anybody except Kanbei
Opponents: Lash
Speed Requirement: 15
Points: 300pt S-rank
Days: 14-15

General Strategy: Deploy APCs and Infantry to secure funds on the peninsula for invading force of Fighter and T-copter. Pathetic, really, but we have no other choice.

NOTE: This strategy relies heavily on favorable movement by the AI. It is nigh impossible to perfect S-rank this map without it.

Day 1:

– Build an APC in the western base.
– Build Infantry in the remaining bases.

Day 2:

– Move northern base Infantry 3W.
– Move southern base Infantry 3S.
– Move eastern base Infantry into APC and move APC 2N 4E and drop Infantry N.
– Build an APC in the western base.
– Build Infantry in the remaining bases.

Day 3:

– Have the southernmost Infantry capture a neutral city.
– Move the northernmost Infantry 1E 2S and capture neutral city.
– Load westernmost Infantry into APC and move APC 3N 1W and drop Infantry W.
– Move northern base Infantry 3W.
– Move southern base Infantry 3S.
– Move eastern base Infantry into APC and move APC 2N 4E and drop Infantry N.

Day 4:

– Finish capturing of neutral cities.
– Have southernmost Infantry capture the remaining neutral city.
– Have northernmost Infantry capture the neutral base.
– Load northern Infantry into APC and move APC 3W 3N.
– Load remaining Infantry into APC and move APC 1W 2N and drop N.

Day 5:

NOTE: Enemy Anti-Air MUST come towards you. If it heads towards HQ, restart.

– Finish capturing of neutral base and city.
– Move northernmost APC 4W and 2N and drop W onto airport.
– Move next northernmost Infantry 2W 1N and capture neutral city.
– Move next N-most Infantry 3N into APC and move APC 2N 3W and drop S.
– Move remaining Infantry N towards allied bases.

Day 6:

From this point on, the newly captured base will be referred to as the M base.

– Begin capture of neutral airport.
– Finish capture of neutral city.
– Move northernmost Infantry 2W 1S into APC and drop W.
– Move next northernmost Infantry 2S and capture netural city.
– Move southernmost Infantry N towards allied bases.
– Move next southernmost Infantry 1N into base.
– Build a Neotank in the M base.

From this point on, the enemy’s movement will vary. Use your own discretion, but Anti-Air takes utmost priority in destruction. Be sure to remain out of ranged units fire. I will only account for necessary troop movement from this point on.

Day 7:

– Finish capture of airport and neutral city.
– Move mountain Infantry 2W 1N and capture neutral city.
– Move northernmost Infantry 1W into APC and move APC 1N and drop W.
– Move southernmost Infantry 1N into base.
– Build Md. Tank in the M base, if possible.

Troop movement is at your discretion.

Day 8:

NOTE: Enemy Md. Tank MUST come towards your army.

– Build a Medium Tank at the M base.
– Build a T-copter at the airport.

Troop movement is at your discretion.

Day 9:

NOTE: Enemy B-Copter MUST move S.

– Build a Fighter at the airport.
– Move T-copter at your discretion, but be sure to load it with an Infantry.
Defend it from any Anti-Air units.

Troop movement is at your discretion.

Day 10:

NOTE: Enemy fighter MUST move S.

You must drop the loaded Infantry by Day 13. This means that you have three days to manuever your T-copter around the potential threats to its well-being.

Keep all troops healthy until you can destroy 3 units in one day. Use your funds to build powerful units that can do so.

Build Infantry at the four bases in the bottom to help your technique score.

Two Anti-Air units at the bottom bases should be built to help your power score.
