Okay, so this is my first Olaf's chair submission ever. I thought to myself, what could I give to WWN that I have a lot of? Then the answer hit me, SELF-CONFIDENCE! I think everyone knows I'm pretty well known for me confidence....*Cough* ego. But anyway, enough about me... In this submission, I'm going to give you WWN's some steps which I personal use, which can help you gain some self-confidence... So without further ado!
1 - Know your worth.
Maintain an awareness of all that you do for the world. Take a minute each day to remind yourself what you've done in life. Trust me, no one has done nothing, everyone has done something. By realizing what you are capable of doing, you will feel stronger.
2 - Set goals & meet them.
The process of looking forward to an aspiration and then accomplishing it can be very big confidence boost. When you've dropped those 15 pounds or finally beat a war room map, reward yourself and experience the satisfaction of having achieved something you set out to do.
3 - Accept failure.
You will never get anywhere in life if you don't learn that sometimes you will fail. If you think you will always succeed even the smallest hint of failure will destory your ego. Take risks and learn how to accept falling short.
4 - Be active.
I cannot stress how important getting physically activity is. Not only does it allow you to have a good looking body (which just so happens to be imporant in being confident), but it also prevents heart attacks, strokes, all other types of sickness everyone would be better off without.
5- Be well-rounded.
Maintain interest in all qualities of your life. In other words, don't forget about your hobbies (IE: video games, basketball, etc) Meanwhile, don't let your job take up all of your free time. Allow yourself to have some free time, so you can enjoy yourself. Trust me, this goes a long way.
6- Socialize with everyone.
The doctor, nurse, bank teller, or just some random person on the street. Talk to anyone who passes you. By increasing your social skills, not only will you become more confident in how you present yourself, but also you won't feel insecure in unfamiliar situations.
7- Partake in things you do well at.
By showing people what you're made of. You will, more importantly, show yourself what you're made of. Even if you have to go out of your way, doing something that you know how to do well will boost your conviction when you do something else.
8 - Don't slouch.
Slouching is not only bad because it shows a sign of insecurity, (ladies pick this up) but it can also lead to back problems when you're older. So for God's sake, walk with your back straight.
Well there you go fellow WWN'ers Gameshark's ways to obtain a more confident you... Before you start trying any of these things you must know, results don't show over night... Things like this take time. So don't expect yourself, after only one day of following my steps to be as confident...as well me. Yes, it even took time for me to be confident.
